Creating an Architecture for Manipulating Earth Observation data (CAMEO)
CAMEO provides a new online platform to unlock the potential of Earth Observation (EO) data for both specialist and non-specialist users. CAMEO will democratize access to EO data and analytics. The platform will be easy to use and provide pre-developed tools to perform analysis relevant to different sectors - government, business and the general public.

Accessible Data
Easy access to large amounts of spatial data from different sources, including Copernicus, Sentinel 2, Landsat, etc.
Spatial Analysis
Perform online analysis with several tools for Marine, Forestry, Agriculture & Climate.
Innovation
CAMEO allows user-specific analysis, use of field data and ready-to-use AI tools for analysis and management of data.

AGRICULTURE
Agriculture and land-related services, including crop identification & monitoring, land classification, surface texture mapping & more.
CLIMATE
Climate services include longitudinal analysis of weather patterns to support investigation of climate change and impacts.
FORESTRY
Services for forest analysis including forest canopy change, health status and other services.
MARINE
Services for monitoring of the marine environment, including: ocean productivity and health, water quality, sea surface characteristics & vessel detection.
Partners
CAMEO is being developed by a consortium of partners comprising University College Dublin as lead partner, and industry partners: Compass Informatics, Dell EMC, Edgescan, Treemetrics, TechWorks Marine, and Vertice Cloud.
Funding
The CAMEO project is funded by Enterprise Ireland, through the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund, co-funded by the industry partners. It received an investment of over €9 million, of which €5.9M is from Enterprise Ireland and the remainder from industry.
